The doctoral program in Energy and Nuclear Science and Technology (STEN) is intended to prepare students for research and professional practice in energy science and engineering, via fundamental and applied research that will enable the technologies of the future for sustainable energy production, conversion, transport and use.

Our PhD School

The Politecnico di Milano was one of the first universities in Italy to establish a School of Doctoral Programmes in 2001.
The School offers courses to develop complementary abilities, such as seminars on epistemology, research policy and management, scientific communication and many others on, whereas single doctoral programmes provide their specific courses and infrastructures for research, specific education and tutoring.
